The last film from decidedly non-prolific Wilcox whose prior film was the extremely classic Science Fiction epic Forbidden Planet of 1956. This type of undetected infiltration of white America film was particularly popular during the Cold War when everybody was a potential Soviet agent. I've read several university "studies" written at the time which claim that hundreds of illegal Mexican immigrants crossing into the U.S. at El Paso, Texas each day were actually Communist agents.
